Good Questions, I do sometimes see clients that want to get orthotics as a preventative measure and I always suggest to them that "not everyone needs orthotics" and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Orthotics are like crutches, you wouldn't walk around with crutches to try to prevent an injury, and you use them after an injury to help heal it.
Orthotics definitely have their place but I do not believe that everyone needs them. A well-made foot orthotic is very useful to maintain alignment and/or relieve pressure but a healthy foot doesn't need one
