I get asked very similar questions to this way, way more often these days than 20 or 30 years ago. With either - off-the-shelf therapeutic footwear - or - custom made orthopedic footwear - they cover a very wide range of shoes that come with orthotic solutions all in one, some are trendy looking, some try to look trendy but just can't because they are more therapeutic than fashion will allow and some are just plain ugly because they are so therapeutic that there just isn't anything that can be done to make them look trendy or fashionable.
This catalog for custom made orthopedic footwear has a lot of shoes that look trendy and they can look that way when they are made for a relatively normal shaped foot but as the foot shape becomes less normal, so does the shape of the shoe and it looks less trendy or fashionable. There are also a lot of websites that carry off-the-shelf therapeutic shoes with the all in one solution, I don't think I can comment on specific brand names here but there are companies that have been around for a very long time that have been making all-in-one solutions since they started and their footwear is excellent. (Birkenstock - if I can name names)
